James F. Kurose is a Distinguished University Professor of Computer Science at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. He has served as the Assistant Director of the National Science Foundation (NSF), leading the Directorate of Computer and Information Science and Engineering. Dr. Kurose holds a PhD in Computer Science from Columbia University and is a Fellow of the IEEE and ACM. His research focuses on network protocols, architecture, and multimedia communication. Keith W. Ross is the Dean of Engineering and Computer Science at NYU Shanghai and the Leonard J. Shustek Professor of Computer Science and Engineering at NYU. He is a co-founder of Wimba, a multimedia application developer for e-learning. Dr. Ross holds a PhD from the University of Michigan and is an ACM and IEEE Fellow, known for his work in Internet privacy, security, and stochastic modeling.
